At least a University degree at Masters Level in Law or related discipline. Additional qualification as Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIA) or its equivalent is preferred.
At least 12 years general professional working experience in legal practice including provision of legal services to public institutions to facilitate negotiations and dispute settlements between them and other parties.
At least 5 years specific experience in provision of legal services to corporate bodies on contractual issues including serving as Legal Counsel to entities regarding arbitration/settlement of disputes on public works contracts;
Experience as Legal Counsel to public institution(s) in international Arbitration Tribunal(s) sitting in the United Kingdom with regards to dispute settlement on public works contracts will be an advantage.
Fluency and good knowledge of English are required.
Experience with European Development Fund (EDF) contract procedures for EU external actions will be an added value.
Previous working experience in Nigeria would be an asset.
